We "Healthcare Managers" ??

Do you want to be part of a ‘We Community’ for health and social care managers?

‘WeCommunities’ with the support of the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM), are working in partnership with a number of health and social care membership organisations (including: Proud2bOps, The Academy of Fabulous Stuff, Practice Managers Association and The Community Hospitals Association) to create a Twitter community for health and social care managers.

The aim is to bring together health and social care managers to share good practice, to inform practice, to celebrate practice and to support one another through twitter chats, day to day tweeting, blogs, videos and anything else that adds value.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about health management to help to create and lead this community. 

What being part of We “HealthManagers” will involve:

• An initial team building skype meeting to develop a plan;
• Taking it in turns amongst the team to develop and host tweetchats. Hosting a chat involves some background reading on the subject, preparing a pre chat summary, promoting the chat on twitter, co-ordinating on the day and writing a post chat summary;
• Keeping a regular eye on the Twitter account, retweeting things that you think will be interesting to followers and engaging with them.

Being part of one of the groups within ‘WeCommunities’ is what you make it. ‘WeCommunities’ is a well-established community of healthcare professionals and being a community leader can enhance your digital footprint and can provide you with career enhancing opportunities, it can also enhance your connections and networks and can provide you with learning and reflection opportunities. Some ‘WeCommunities’ leaders have developed research, written papers, made connections to progress in their career, won awards and not forgetting, have made friends.

What support do you get?

You’re not alone, we are all here to help.  There’s no hierarchy and we're very friendly.  We have a Facebook group for all WeCommunities leaders. We will have regular video chats or conference calls.  In addition to this we will agree a method of communication and support within the group.
