Having supported you all building the tweeting #nursecommunities one tweet, one follower, one brave step into this new world at a time, there are a few things we know about you all:

1. You like sharing information together on twitter to improve practice and patient care

2. You like to support each other in what you do both professionally and personally

3. You'll all go the extra mile when you think it will make a small difference

So when a #WeNurses community member, @TheBestJoan, decides to go 26 extra miles, tweet their way around and raise funds for a charity dedicated to supporting nurses, we knew we had to come up with an idea for all of you to get involved!

Last year @TheBestJoan tweeted a fact about Mary Seacole every mile, We collated his epic tweetpicathon and the marathon runners gave him an extra £1,000 (details here) for being so innovative #yay!

This time @TheBestJoan has been tireless in getting EACH MILE sponsored, has not let his "Text to Donate" sign leave his side and has been really engaging on and off twitter to raise funds for @CavellTrust

@TheBestjoan will use any opportunity to share the value and his personal story of how you, the tweeting community, have you made him the better nurse he is today - so it was time to help him and @CavellTrust

When Joan came to us with an idea to raise lasting value from the kind support of his sponsors the "twittermarathonastorm" was born!

Throughout Joan's marathon he'll be tweeting, preriscoping and sharing his passion whilst running (mostly) via #run4cavell

We are asking you to TwitterStorm (a short and explosive sharing of information via twitter) on topics relevant to his kind mile sponsors.

We'll archive the sharing below and hope this will create a long lasting resource of useful links and information for others based on the topics.

@TheBestJoan will be Pericsoping (here's our REALLY simple guide to Periscope) from 09:30, tweet when he can AND run the last mile with you on Periscope too. (We'll also share a live link to track @TheBestJoan to see if he is keeping up with his 10min/mile plan and the twitterstorm.)
