Keeping abreast of new and emerging tech forms part of the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) programme vision at Health Education England (HEE) so that we continue to train our staff to the highest standards, using contemporary pedagogy and tools proven to work.

HEE’s TEL Programme follows a simple horizon scanning process to identify emergent technologies that may add value to the education of healthcare professionals today and in the future. See graphic below:



In this WeNurses chat, we will explore with you the opportunity, implications and readiness of some of the latest technologies identified through our scanning activity - Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality and more. 

As part of our ongoing work, we want to learn about any other emerging technologies you think will have value in healthcare education.
