WeActiveChallenge

Monday 1st August 2016 by @WeNurses

We all know the benefits of being active, we tell our patients all the time!

August slows down a little on Twitter as many of you are on leave or enjoying better weather (hopefully) in the evenings and the weekends so it's time to repeat our #WeActiveChallenge.

Follow the guide below but in essence the idea is to fill Twitter with pictures us being active; active doesn't mean climbing a mountain or swimming around an island, it simply means being active.

This year we have some great Twitter tech from @WeGizmos that will help us see which WeCommunity is the most active in a fab #WeActiveChallenge leader board that will go live from the 1st of August below for the month.

We can't wait to see all your pics and We hope you have a really active August!

Get to know the #WeActiveChallenge leader board

Badges
You can add you add your Twitter name into the badge section to see how many badges you have earned.
Roll over the badges to see how many active pics you need to share to earn them
If you’ve earned a badge you can click on it to launch a tweet that looks like a link, simply tweet that link to send a “Twitter Card” with your badge in it!
If you want to use multiple community hashtags they will all add up to your badge total.

Charts
These track the activity and form the “challenge” aspect of #WeActiveChallenge. You can see the total number of tweets by volume in “All Tweets. The “Weighted Tweets” take the size of the community into consideration to deliver a fare and comparable view of community involvement.  “All Users” shows the number of people by hashtag participating and the “Trend Graph” looks at the sharing by day, you can switch communities on and off by selecting them on the bottom.

Selecting the bars in the bar charts will filter the pictures being shown in the montage wall.

Pictures
If you click on a picture it will open the original tweet where you can engage with the sender.

If you have selected a community via the bar chart you can reset the view to show all via the refresh arrows at the top of the montage wall.

Other Information
There aren’t any rules but do try and play fare by tweeting pics of you or your activity, we don’t want to have to remove your tweets for over excited community support no do we!

The promotional tweets throughout the #WeActiveChallenge from the WeAccounts do not count in the leaderboard.

What a great motivational challenge - walking to and from work + stairs from ground to 9th to 4th floors twice a day + 30 minute walk between meetings every day. Now I find I have already earned #gold. I need to double step the stairs tomorrow and increase the distance in my 30 minute walk. Hope you are all doing #GetActiveChallenge #CommissionersActive

Welcome to #GetActiveChallenge. My goal is to walk to and from work every day and also do ground to 9th to 4th floor via stairs every morning. Once I've mastered the stairs to 9th floor, I plan to double step these stairs. Good luck with your own challenge, especially those of you who are mainly sitting in offices.
