A few weeks ago in a coffee shop just past Reading station WeCommunities and The Academy Of Fabulous Stuff (Fab Stuff) met to discuss change! Its always good to meet people who are as enthusiastic as We are for connecting and supporting people and improving the lives of the people we care for and Fab Stuff are some of our most favourite Tweeters.
You may, or may not, know that that this year NHS Change Day is being supported by the fabulous people at the Academy of Fabulous Stuff and Fab Change Day on October 19th kicks off “A year of ideas into action” with the Fab Stuff team profiling and sharing along the way AND we are very pleased to announce (cue fanfare and drumroll!) that We will be supporting and sharing Fab Change Day too.
Why are We changing? Why are We getting involved in Fab Change Day?
Well, our mantra has always been that through connecting healthcare professionals via social media we can share information, ideas, knowledge and support... to improve patient care and part of that is sharing and supporting information, ideas and knowledge around change and innovation. We all know that change can be a long journey, that changing things can be hard and that we just don’t share those fab changes enough … so it seemed like a really good fit for Fab Stuff and We to collaborate on.
Over the next year We are here with Fab Stuff to help support and share through the amazing online healthcare community.
Here are a few dates that you need to pop into your diary:
Fab Change Day Activist Schools – Ahead of Fab Change Day, there are one-day training events at six venues round the country to build your skills in leading change and help you make a real difference to patients and staff. For more info click HERE
Change: What’s the point? – A pre Fab Change Day Twitter Discussion on September 19th at 8pm via #FabChangeDay and hosted by @WeNurses, exploring how we can keep change day real and where to start? (Details coming soon)
Fab Change Day - October 19th ! The big day itself launching “A year of ideas into action” There will be a whole plethora of fab stuff going on and We will be holding a Fab Change Day Twitter Discussion at 8pm via #FabChangeDay and hosted by WeNurses looking at “Sustaining Energy For Change.” (Details coming soon)
Between now and Fab Change Day there will be lots of updates and news via Tweets, Blogs, videos and a whole host of social media, so please keep an eye on the Fab Change Day webpage and follow tweets via @FabNHSStuff @FabChangeDay and by searching #FabChangeDay.
