CYP We has arrived

Tuesday 17th February 2015 by @WeCYPnurses

WeNurses is an extremely popular well used twitter forum used widely by a variety of professionals working with children and young people as well as their parents and carers.

The We community has been expanding recently with a notable absence of @weCYPnurses until now ... we welcome participants from all health & social care professionals and carers working with/looking after children & young people in all settings. We look forward to collaborating with our colleagues within the WeCommunities and there is also potential to include children and young people themselves.

We aim to help connect everyone together so that we can share ideas and learn from each other in order to improve outcomes for children & young people via Twitter.

As is the We way we will be holding regular Twitter discussions via a hashtag, ours is #WeCYPNs, as well as the opportunity to connect and share between discussions via @WeCYPnurses. If you've not tweetchatted before then here is a really simple guide.

Our first chat topic is "Caring for children and young people: so what’s different?" and is on March the 10th at 8pm, you can find the pre chat information here; all our archived chats will be here (Archived chats are a great way to find tweeters to follow and connect with that have an interest in the same topics that interest you). We will start off by chatting monthly on a Tuesday at 8pm with prechat information released well in advance, if there's higher demand then we can always revisit the regularity.

We would like to know what you would like to discuss within this community too so do send us a tweet, you can also add chat suggestions here by filling in your ideas and sending it to us, after all it is your tweeting community.

As is the traditional We way the @WeCYPnurses will be run by a group of volunteers who will run the chats and tweet with you between them too. The @WeCYPnurses volunteers are @LugardCYP,  @cdodd09,  @bradley_juliet,  @robbradley01 and  @hepworth_becky, you can read more about the volunteers here, hopefully you will give @WeCYPnurses a follow as a first step and and then say hello soon!

We look forward to chatting with you on the 10th of March via #WeCYPNs, but don't be shy till then, come and say hi via @WeCYPnurses ...
