#WeNurses - Thursday 10th January 2019 8pm (GMT Standard Time) What does the future hold for social media & nursing?

If you haven't joined in a tweet chat before it's very simple.    Here's a guide

 Chat Details

Hosted by WeNurses using #WeNurses

This chat is guest hosted by @AgencyNurse

Nurses have been using social media for quite sometime now .... my own journey started some 7 years ago and since then I have seen nurses go from being very reluctant to step into social media spaces to nurses innovating, creating and leading in social media.  But as we move from 2018 to 2019 it's perhaps time to reflect on where social media is taking us as nurses ... what does the future hold?

A few years ago I created this sketch note ... and i find myself wondering are we yet to unlock the potential of social media in nursing? Is there more we can do?

For this, the first #WeNurses Tweetchat of 2019 we will take a look into the future and ask:

  • How has the use of social media by nurses changed over the last 5 years?
  • Where would you like to see the use of social media as nurses go in the next 5 years?
  • What are the benefits to nurses and nursing to using social media?
  • What is stopping us from unlocking the true potential of social media as nurses?
  • What can each of us do to ensure that more nurses are able to see the potential that social media offers to nursing?
  • How would YOU like social media to progress in nursing? What would be on your wish list?
