#WeNurses - Wednesday 21st April 2021 8pm (GMT Standard Time) Reflection during difficult times

If you haven't joined in a tweet chat before it's very simple.    Here's a guide

 Chat Details

Hosted by WeNurses using #WeNurses

This chat is guest hosted by @swan_anthony

Due to the success of my recent podcast ‘The importance of reflective practice within nursing’ as a team we thought that hosting a tweetchat on reflection during difficult times would really benefit the nursing community. I know all us nurses clinical or non-clinical have come across some horrendous situations during the past few months with COVID and I feel it would be really good for us to speak about it as a community.

Reflection is a massive part of my day to day life not just in my job as a nurse but also as a person. I try to use reflection to help me improve as a person and be able to deal with situations I face in life and that ultimately makes me a better nurse.

@swan_anthony @nursinganthony

  1. Have you found during COVID that reflection has been something you’ve not had chance to do a lot of?
  2. Which kind of reflection do you find benefits you the most? Verbal, written any others?
  3. When do you feel the best time for you to reflect is? Straight after the event or when the dust has settled?
  4. In verbal reflection who do you find it most beneficial to speak to? Your colleagues or maybe a family member or friend?
  5. Is reflection something you champion asa nurse?
  6. What advice would you give to any young nurse or student about reflection during difficult times?

@AgencyNurse @hepworth_becky @WeNurses I think that’s one of the benefits of reflection. It has no time restraint. We can reflect back on things that happened today or last year if it still sits in our mind and memories. I’ve found peer reflective discussions have been very beneficial this year. #WeNurses
